Day 1:

PUERTO MALDONADO (183 METERS / 600 FEET).

This day we will have the opportunity to get to know each other, after a brief introduction about this new experience we will go to the port where we will board the boats that will take us to the chosen lodge . (Check availability by intern).

Upon arrival at our destination we will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared with natural ingredients, in the afternoon we will have our first contact with nature, where we will appreciate the exuberant nature that surrounds us, some medicinal plants and tropical trees to finish our tour we will return to the lodge where we can give a short break watching the sunset.

At night we will take a night boat ride, where we will be able to appreciate from a safe distance the famous alligators or other species that come out at night.

Day 2

SANDOVAL LAKE (182 METERS / 597 FEET).

Our day will begin very early having the traditional breakfast of the Peruvian jungle to board the boats and sail to the pier of Lake Sandoval, later we will continue with our journey through the exuberant vegetation and entering the Tambopata National Reserve , where we can observe the great flora and fauna that surrounds us.

After our walk we will arrive at Lake Sandoval, where we will board small boats in search of river otters and other species of mammals, reptiles and birds in their natural habitat.

After our experience, we will return to the boats to return to our lodge , to have the afternoon free and enjoy nature.

Day 3

PARROTS COLLPA (182 METERS / 597 FEET).

Today our activities begin at dawn to visit the parrot clay lick , where we can appreciate some of the species of parrots that come to this place to feed on clay that will help them neutralize toxins that they consume in their daily diets.

After this beautiful experience we will return to our lodge where we will have our breakfast and free time before boarding our boats and returning to the city of Madre de Dios.

Day 4

CUSCO – CITY TOUR (3,400 METERS – 11,154 FEET).

In the morning we will go to the Puerto Maldonado airport to board the flight to the City of Cusco, upon arrival at the Imperial City of Cusco our staff will receive you to accompany you to your accommodation and rest.

In the afternoon we will go to visit the ancient capital of the Inca empire and current archaeological capital of America; The visit begins in the Cathedral, which is decorated inside with many altarpieces in gold leaf as well as its paintings that belong to the Cusco school, then continue through the Temple of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, where the remains are found. of what was the temple of the sun, better known as Q’oricancha .

Continuing with the visit, they will arrive at the archaeological sites, there they will visit the archaeological complexes of Qenqo , Tambomachay , Puca Pucara and the impressive Sacsayhuaman ; strategically built on a hill overlooking the city of Cusco. Its massive stone walls were amazingly carved and joined with precision. Some of these stones exceed 9 feet in height and weigh more than 100 tons.

Day 5

PISAQ SACRED VALLEY (3,346 METERS / 10,977 FEET) – OLLANTAYTAMBO (2,792 METERS / 9,160 FEET) – MACHUPICCHU VILLAGE (2,040 METERS / 6,692 FEET).

Today in the morning we will go to your hotel to start our excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where we will be able to appreciate different ecological levels to understand where and how the Andean man domesticated plants and animals to obtain an improvement in their production. such as potatoes, corn, quinoa, alpaca, llama, among others.

During our excursion we will be part of history in the different Archaeological Parks throughout this valley such as Pisaq , where they will also have free time to visit the picturesque craft market that contains very important artistic expressions such as textiles , goldsmithing, painting, silverware, among others, we will also take advantage of our stay in the sacred valley to enjoy a buffet lunch and finally we will arrive in Ollantaytambo where we will be able to visit the archaeological site and board the train that will take us to Aguas Calientes.

Day 6

MACHUPICCHU (2,430 METERS / 7,972 FEET) – OLLANTAYTAMBO (2,792 METERS / 9,160 FEET) – CUSCO (3,400 METERS / 11,154 FEET)

Today we will leave the hotel in the morning towards the bus station where we will board the bus that will take us to the llacta of Machu Picchu, the “Lost City of the Incas”. This complex is considered a masterpiece of Inca architecture: a complete settlement with different neighborhoods, squares, streets, buildings, astronomical observatories and terraces, built in the midst of subtropical vegetation and rediscovered on July 24, 1911 by the American explorer Hiram Bingham . After the guided tour and the respective photos of the memory, we will go down to Machupicchu Pueblo where we will have lunch and later we will board the return train to the town of Ollantaytambo where the transport that will take us to the imperial city of Cusco will wait for us. Night in Cuzco.
